Restaurant Fleur at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
Recently, I spent a week in Las Vegas for work. The conference was held at the Mandalay Bay, and one of the first days there my client and I had lunch at the restaurant Fleur by Hubert Keller. Hubert Keller, Top Chef Master, offers a variety of small plates at this restaurant, inspired by cuisines from around the world. We ordered a few of these small plates and the food was so tasty we went back two more times over the course of the week.
Not only is the food good, but the location is too. The (indoor) patio seating for Fleur is located directly under a giant sky light. Yes, NATURAL LIGHT inside a casino. When you’re in Vegas for a week – which is about 4 days too long – and you’re staying in the hotel where the conference is located, any natural light is a welcome sight. The patio is also a great location for people watching as it’s situated on a main walking path that rings the Mandalay Bay casino.
Here are some photos from those three days of lunching at Fleur:
I’ve had good burrata and bad burrata before. This burrata was lovely.
These two-bite tacos were great. The tuna absolutely melted in the mouth.
They’re smaller than they looked, yes?
Normally I’m not a huge schnitzel fan, but this pork was light and crispy – delicious.
The chimmichurri was bright and made this dish.
A worthy macaroni and cheese.
You know I love burgers and these did not disappoint. The meat was a little tight, but the flavor combinations were overall really appealing.
Pay no attention to that squash in the background. That’s just Punkin Head.
This dessert was the star of the three meals we had at Fleur. Very delicate, yet flavorful items with really different mouth-feels. Yum.
If you’re in Vegas anytime soon, Fleur is a great place for lunch or tempting snack.
